Love Blaster w/ Fruits of Love
This show was an exercise in rhythmic precision. The entire goal was to get every element in the sonic grid to lock together, creating a tight, powerful groove that was not just heard, but felt.
Creative Approach
The mix was built from the rhythm outwards. I treated the kick and bass as a single entity, using subtle sidechain compression to make them "breathe" together. The snare was the unshakeable center point. Once this rhythmic foundation, the "pocket," was established, I could layer the percussive guitars and warm horns into a cohesive, funky machine.
