This performance required the utmost delicacy and precision. The task was to provide transparent sound reinforcement for a purely acoustic ensemble, making their intricate and beautiful music audible to all without any hint of artificial coloration.
Creative Approach
My philosophy was that of a conservator. The Midas M32 was used not as a creative tool, but as a path for clean, uncolored gain. A main stereo pair of Shure SM-81s captured the ensemble's natural acoustic balance. All processing was subtractive: only precise high-pass filters were used to eliminate stage noise, preserving the original signal in its purest form.
