Dusty Road Duo
The goal for this show was to capture pure, raw emotion. It was about leaning into the grit of an overdriven amplifier and the soulful strain in a powerful voice, creating a sound that felt visceral and true.
Creative Approach
My process centered on character and texture. I draped a Sennheiser e609 over the guitar amp to capture every bit of its speaker cone breakup. The vocal, through a classic SM58, was compressed just enough to add sustain and intensity without sacrificing its dynamic, emotional range. This was not about perfection; it was about feel, letting the slight imperfections become part of the authentic sound.
